Registration and Payment:

You can register and pay for your class in one of several ways:

1. Online: Click HERE to register and pay now via credit card.

2. In person: Visit the Boarding House at the Historic Johnson Farm (see address below) during open hours (M-F, 10-3) to complete a class registration form and make your payment via cash, check or credit card.

3. By mail: Click HERE for the Registration Form, then download and print the form. Complete the form and mail (see address below) with a check made out to Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists.

Basket Purse or Tote with Straps
Class Description: This useful tote is the perfect size for your lunch, to use as a purse or to carry smaller items. It is 10 ½” wide by 9” high and is 5” deep. It features a colorful strapping handle with a matching color focal across the middle. We will be spraying this in a heritage stain or you may choose to leave it natural. We will have three choices of handle and focal color.
You will learn to:
 Insert strapping handles
 Use basket stain to create a heritage look
 Coordinate colors for handles, focal and rim filler.
 Round the bottom and sides to create a pleasing shape.

Fee:  Payable by cash, check or credit card
$60.00 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration)
$70.00 for non-HWFA members

Prerequisites: This is an advanced basket and all students must have taken the Beginners Basket class or have prior basket making experience.

Materials brought by student: Lunch and drink

Additional information: Park at the Historic Johnson Farm Interpretive Center and walk to the Boarding House. Handicapped parking is available at the Boarding House. Please note, as a historic building, the Boarding House is not handicapped accessible.
