Registration and Payment:

You can register and pay for your class in one of several ways:

1. Online: Click HERE to register and pay now via credit card.

2. In person: Visit the Boarding House at the Historic Johnson Farm (see address below) during open hours (M-F, 10-3) to complete a class registration form and make your payment via cash, check or credit card.

3. By mail: Click HERE for the Registration Form, then download and print the form. Complete the form and mail (see address below) with a check made out to Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists.

Rug Hooking Bear Wall Hanging
Class Description: Learn how to create a traditional hooked piece while hooking a fun pattern. At the same time, you will be learning how to properly “pull a loop”. You will be shown different techniques to finish the project. If you need further help after the class, you can join our Hooking & Beyond Study Group that meets the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month.

Fee: Payable by cash, check or credit card
$40.00 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration)
$50.00 for non-HWFA members

Prerequisites: None, as this is a beginner/refresher class
Maximum number of students: 8
Materials provided by instructor: Kit which will include drawn pattern on monks cloth, cut wool, hook and a color guide for hooking. I will also have a 12” heavy-duty hoop available for you to use during class or purchase ($26)
Materials fee: $45.00 (payable in cash to instructor first day of class)
Materials brought by student: Lunch and drink; sharp scissors and 12” heavy-duty frame – either hoop or gripper frame.

Additional information: Park at the Historic Johnson Farm Interpretive Center and walk to the Boarding House. Handicapped parking is available at the Boarding House. Please note, as a historic building, the Boarding House is not handicapped accessible.
