Registration and Payment:

You can register and pay for your class in one of several ways:

1. Online: Click HERE to register and pay now via credit card.

2. In person: Visit the Boarding House at the Historic Johnson Farm (see address below) during open hours (M-F, 10-3) to complete a class registration form and make your payment via cash, check or credit card.

3. By mail: Click HERE for the Registration Form, then download and print the form. Complete the form and mail (see address below) with a check made out to Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists.

Traditional Rug Hooking
Class Description: So You Want to be a Hooker. Make a trivet while learning how to start rug hooking. Using cut strips of wool (NOT YARN), you will learn how to hook a star, heart, circle and square. You will learn different, techniques and suggestions for finishing the project.

Fee: Payable by cash, check or credit card
$40.00 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration)
$50.00 for non-HWFA members

Materials provided by instructor: Kit which includes pattern, cut wool and hook
Materials fee:
 $45.00 (payable in cash to instructor first day of class)
Materials brought by student: 12” heavy hoop or rug hooking frame and sharp scissors. (Embroidery hoops are not heavy
enough to hold the backing fabric. I will have hoops available to use or buy.) Bring a snack and drink – no lunch break.

Additional information: Park at the Historic Johnson Farm Interpretive Center and walk to the Boarding House. Handicapped parking is available at the Boarding House. Please note, as a historic building, the Boarding House is not handicapped accessible.
